Independence Day: What we lost what we gained in 73 years of independence

"BOMBS AND PISTOLS DO NOT MAKE REVOLUTION. THE SWORD OF REVOLUTION IS SHARPENED ON THE WHETTING-STONE OF IDEAS".

Many best wishes to all of you on Independence Day. The freedom of a person has a great value in his life. No matter how much money is given to someone, no one wants to sell their freedom. It is priceless. To get this freedom, many heroes have sacrificed their lives.

"Patriotism means not just waving the flag but also helping to strengthen our country. If you want to experience the blessings of freedom, you have to feel the tiredness of the patriots and help them." "Actually, freedom is not given, rather it has to be achieved.

History of Freedom Fight
It has been 74 years since India became independent. Our country had to fight a long battle to get this freedom. There were many movements in this battle, after which India got independence from British rule on 15 August 1947. Although India attained independence on 15 August 1947, the revolt of 1857 laid the first foundation of the freedom struggle for achieving this freedom.

The Revolt of 1857 holds a special place in modern Indian history, as it is considered to be the beginning of India's freedom struggle. This movement against the growing colonial policies and exploitation of the British Empire in India rocked the foundations of British rule. Although we had lost this battle, but this battle had given rise to freedom for every Indian somewhere.

The bugle of the first freedom struggle of 1857 was played by Mangal Pandey. On seeing this, the noise of the bugle of the war spread all around. The warriors like Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, Tatya Tope and Nana Rao sacrificed their blood in this freedom struggle. In the second phase, Ramprasad Bismil, Ashfaq, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev Lokmanya Tilak Subhash Chandra Bose etc. sacrificed everything for the country.

On 15 August 1947, millions of Indians of every caste, religion, sect and religion of India gained freedom from British rule by giving millions of sacrifices. It is our national festival to symbolize the pride of freedom from India's slavery. In such a situation, forgetting the known and unknown revolutionaries of India would be an insult to their martyrdom. Let us remember them, give them respect, pay homage.

Meaning of Freedom

The meaning of freedom is not just 'freedom of expression'. Politically today we all Indians celebrate the anniversary of independence on 15 August every year. The meaning of freedom in India can be different for every person or class. For example, freedom for the poor man means freedom from poverty. Freedom for the uneducated person means freedom from illiteracy.

Freedom has different meanings for all such classes and individuals, but the freedom from unemployment, inflation, corruption has become necessary at this time. We have lost some sense of the meaning and sentiment with which everyone fought for freedom and the 'meaning' that our great freedom fighters gave us. The irony is maladministration has made it squid.

Poverty in India

Poverty is like a curse for any country. Today India's population has gone above 1.35 billion, in which many global reports about poverty keep coming. According to the report of the American think tank Brookings Association, the number of extremely poor people in India has come down to 73 million.

And as per this report 44 Indians per minute in India are coming out from the category of extreme poverty. The United Nation Organisation also stated in a report that according to international standards, 55.1 percent of India's people were in poverty in the year 2005-2007, which has come down to 27.7 percent in 2015-2014.

Population Explosion

If we talk about the world population today, the entire world population is more than seven billion and the population of India alone is around 1.35 billion. India is the second most populous country in the world after China. The population of India at the time of independence in 1947 was 330 million which has increased four times today. The population has grown rapidly due to weak methods of family planning, illiteracy, lack of health awareness, superstitions and developmental imbalances. Currently, India's population is 17.5 percent of the world population.

We have 2.5 percent in terms of land and 4 percent is water resources. While 20 percent of the burden of diseases in the world is on India alone. According to the rapid rate at which the world population is increasing, the world population is increasing by 80 million people every year and its pressure is clearly on natural resources. Not only this, the situation is that if India does not stop its population growth rate soon, it will overtake China to become the world's largest population by 2030.

China ranks first in the world due to its 1.39 billion population. On the other hand, India is also second in the world with its population of 1.35 billion. Experts have expressed concern that if India's population keeps increasing at the same rate, by 2030 it will be ranked first in the world. Various studies have also shown that by 2025, India will overtake China and become the world's most populous country.

Despite the fact that the government has introduced population policies, family planning and welfare programs here and the fertility rate has steadily decreased, the actual stabilization of the population will only be possible by 2050. High birth rate and decreasing mortality due to better sanitation and health system are the main reasons for the high population growth rate.

Our population is increasing by fifty thousand per day. In order to provide food to such a large population, it is necessary that our food production increases from 5.4 million tonnes per annum, whereas on an average it can only grow at the rate of 4.0 million tonnes per annum. Two basic reasons for population growth are illiteracy and poverty.

Unemployment is occurring on a large scale due to the ever-increasing population, many other economic and social problems are also arising. Many problems are posing a challenge to India. Population-explosion is the highest among them.

One billion Indians have the same land, minerals and resources even today as they were 50 years ago, as a result, people have less land, less income and problems are increasing. India has only 2.4 percent of all the world's land while 17.5 percent of the world's population lives in India. As the population increases, further load on natural resources will increase.

Due to population pressure, the land will be less available to the farmers for agriculture, which will adversely affect the availability of food, drinking water, besides millions of people will be deprived of the benefits of health and education and the opportunity to be productive members of society. More than half a billion Indians are under 25 years of age.

Law and Order

It is an undisputed truth that even after 72 years of independence, the law and order in the country is not as strong as it should be at all. Be it Delhi or Kerala or any other place in the country, hundreds of criminal cases of looting, kidnapping and murder continue to come up. We want India's economy to be integrated with the global economy and the recession of America, Europe or Brazil should not affect the India.

But at the same time, there are heartbreaking reports that a female vet was murdered after being raped in Hyderabad, the rape victim was burnt alive in Unnao and an illegal factory of 43 laborers in the commercial capital died. In the foreign, the international media is shouting that India's legal, social and administrative situation is very bad.

The Washington Post said that the workers are paid only 150 rupees (a little over two dollars) a day, while The Guardian said that 'no one obeyed the rules in India'. The New York Times also stated that such accidents are common in India, because the rules here are not considered by all. The direct charge is on the administration and public that it is not capable of following the rules. The incidents of rape were also given prominence by newspapers, news channels and websites.

Today India needs foreign capital investment for development and the Prime Minister goes to all the countries and invites the traders there to invest in India.

If, in the world, the image of the country will be made of crimes, as well as a non-compliant society or a government unable to comply with the law, would the foreign industrialist want to start an enterprise here? Apart from this, the industrialists of the country would also like to leave India and establish themselves abroad, and any promising young engineer would prefer to work in Toronto, California or Seattle instead of here.

The spirit of patriotism can hardly stop a talented young woman in the country when she learns that the rape accused set the victim on fire with her family the very next day after being released from bail. According to NCRB data, the country's capital Delhi and the cyber capital Bengaluru are at the forefront of crime against women.

But the question is, if everything will be corrected only by blaming the government or law and order, then the answer is absolutely no. Because it is not just by blaming the law and order but the common man can improve the law and order only if the law is followed properly. If you are breaking the signal yourself or do not follow other laws, then you also have no right to blame the law and order. Remember that following the law is in the hands of the public and not the government. However, it is true that no matter who ever in the government law and order has always been bad, but the bitter truth is the public is equally responsible for the bad law expenditure.

Introduction of India
Until a few decades ago in the world, India was seen as a country of kings-emperors, elephants, horses and snake charmers, but today our country is the world's fourth-most emerging economic power after America, Russia and China and has become a superpower.

Before the historic success of the recent Chandrayaan-2 mission in March this year, India has also become the country with the capability to hit live satellites in the lower orbit of space.

But it is also a sad fact that despite centuries of tireless efforts, many social evils have not ended. Casteism is being promoted for political selfishness. Corruption remains a big challenge, so unemployment is a matter of concern.

The truth is that due to the adoption of Macaulay-Marx inspired education system, we have a large army of young people who are not only unemployed, but are not eligible for any employment in the competition.

Amidst all these challenges, the good sign is that we are the youngest democracy in the world. If you will ask an average Indian if he would like to settle in a neighboring country - Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal or China, the answer would be no. This is our success and specialty, which we have achieved in the last 72 years.

I believe that young India has great potential to touch new heights. Happy Independence Day to the readers once again.
